NEW YORK CITY, USA - JUNI [Source: VLNL-Foreign News] Several sources have confirmed that designer Wolff Olins has been inspired by the VLNL Brokken typeface when developing the new visual identity for New York City. Although Wolff Olin has not confirmed this yet, Donald DBXL Beekman, designer of the VLNL Brokken, was going crazy when the first pictures reached him.
"This is a great honour" DBXL said to our reporter. The designer who is Hip-hop fan in everyday life, can still not believe that HipHop-city number 1 inspired the basic elements of its identiy by his typeface, that he designed two years ago.
VLNL CEO Donald®: "I immediately saw the potential of the VLNL Brokken, but as much potential as this I couldn’t simply dream about it. Soon we will release two new fonts by DBXL. Which city is next? "
